Coloriki is a coloring page generator that makes the page you have in mind instead of making you search for it. Upload a photo and get your own child, pet or house as clean black outlines. Type an idea like "a turtle reading a book under a tree" and get that picture to color. Or use one of the free makers for names, birthdays, letters, numbers and quotes. Every page is black lines on white, sized for A4 and US Letter, and you can start without an account.
Free printable sites are great when you want a dinosaur. A generator is better when you want this dinosaur, or your daughter riding it. This page walks through every way to make a page with Coloriki, when to use which one, what is free, and what the AI does and does not do, so you can pick the right tool the first time.
How to generate a coloring page
- 1 Choose how to startA photo for real people, pets and places. A few words for an imagined scene. A name, a letter, a number or a quote for the free makers.
- 2 Pick a style or a few optionsFor photos, choose a style such as Classic, Little Hands or Detailed, plus the detail level and what to do with the background. The free makers ask only for the words and a few little drawings.
- 3 Generate the pagePhoto and idea pages are drawn by AI and cleaned to pure black lines on white, usually in about 15 seconds.
- 4 Print, color online or keep it for a bookPrint the page as a PDF for A4 or US Letter, color it on screen with the tap-to-fill studio, or add photo pages to a personalized coloring book.
Which tool to use for which page
Coloriki is really several generators in one place. They share the same clean output, but each one is built for a different kind of page. Here is the short version.
- Photo to coloring page: your family, friends, pets, home or car, traced so they still look like themselves
- Text to coloring page: anything you can describe, from a dragon at a tea party to a cozy cabin in the snow
- Name pages: a name up to 16 characters in big letters, with stars, hearts, flowers, space, balloons, sea or bubbles around it
- Birthday pages: the name and an optional age in a big star, with balloons
- Alphabet pages: a big upper and lower case letter, "X is for ..." and rows to practice tracing
- Number pages from 0 to 20: the big number, the word, and that many shapes to count
- Quote and Bible verse pages: up to 160 characters in bubble letters inside a frame, with an optional signature line
- Color by number and dot to dot: two puzzle pages made from your own photo
- Coloring book: up to 40 photos turned into a book with a cover, a dedication and a last page to draw
AI coloring page generator: what the AI does
Photo pages and idea pages are drawn by Google Gemini image models. That part is AI. What comes out of the AI is not yet a good coloring page, though: it often has grey shading, specks and small gaps in the lines. Coloriki's own engine then cleans every page to pure black lines on white, so crayons stay inside the lines and the online paint bucket fills one area at a time.
The AI is good at drawing, but it is only as good as what you give it. A sharp, close photo or a clear one-line idea gives a clean page; a dark group shot or a long list of objects gives a crowded one. The tips further down this page help with both. And when a page is mostly about words, like a name or a quote, the free makers are the better choice: the letters come out exactly as you typed them.
From a photo or from text: which one to choose
Choose a photo when the page is about someone real. Faithful styles trace the actual outlines, so the child sees their own haircut, the dog keeps its spots and grandma looks like grandma. No description can do that.
Choose text when the picture does not exist yet. A unicorn on a skateboard, a robot baking cookies, a castle made of books: the AI invents the scene for you. You can also combine both ideas in a coloring book later, mixing family photos with pages made from your child's own stories.
Free, and no sign in to try
You do not need an account to use the generator. Without signing in you can make 2 photo or idea previews a month, with a watermark, so you can see the result before deciding anything. A free account gives you 5 new pages a month to color online. For HD pages without a watermark, the Plus plan (from $7.99 a month) gives 60 new pages a month.
The name, birthday, alphabet, number and quote makers are free in HD with no account at all. So is the library of free coloring pages, ready to print at home or at school.
Private by design
Photos are used only to make your pages. They are never shown publicly, never used to train AI, and the original photos are deleted after 30 days. Pages made without an account stay visible only in your own browser.

Tips for better pages
- For toddlers, pick Little Hands for photos and keep idea prompts to one big subject.
- For adults who like fine detail, the Detailed style keeps hair, fur and textures.
- If a photo page looks busy, crop closer or choose "Simplify" for the background.
- Describe one main subject and a simple setting when you type an idea; long lists make crowded pages.
- Use the free alphabet and number makers for a whole week of preschool practice.
- Print on thicker paper, 100 to 120 gsm, if your kids use markers or paint.
