About this coloring page
Not all those who wander are lost is a line by J. R. R. Tolkien from The Fellowship of the Ring, the first part of The Lord of the Rings, published in 1954. In the book it is the second line of a short poem about someone who seems like a plain traveler but is far more than he looks. This quote coloring page has the line in bubble letters with Tolkien's name beneath it, inside a frame with stars and planets.
Out of the book, the line has become a favorite for travelers and for anyone whose path looks unusual from the outside. It suggests that exploring, changing course, or taking time to find your way is not the same as being lost. The page suits teens and adults, a graduation, a gap year, or a gift before a big trip. Map colors, deep blues, or a starry night palette all suit it.
