H is a breathy sound with no voice, the sound you make when you fog up a cold window. You hear it at the start of hat, house, horse, hand and heart. Put a hand in front of your mouth and say "hat"; you will feel warm air. Capital H is two tall lines standing side by side with a bridge across the middle. Draw both tall lines first, then the bridge. Lowercase h begins with one tall line down; then go back up partway, make a hump over to the right and come straight down. It looks a bit like a chair. Compare it with n, which has the same hump but a short first line.
