About this coloring page
K makes a quick sound at the back of the mouth with no voice, the same sound as hard C. It starts kite, king, kangaroo, key and kitten. In a few words like knee, knot and knife the K is silent, a fun fact for older children who are starting to read. This letter K coloring page shows a big Kk, the words K is for Kite, and rows of K and k for tracing.
Capital K begins with one tall line. Then a slanted line comes in from the top right and meets the tall line in the middle, and a second slanted line goes back out to the bottom right. Lowercase k is the same idea, but the slanted lines are smaller and meet lower, about halfway up the tall line. Draw the tall line first so the slants have something to lean on.
