Capital Q is a round O with a short tail that crosses the bottom right of the circle. Draw the full circle first, then add the tail last. Lowercase q is a small circle with a straight line on its right that drops below the writing line; some styles add a little flick to the right at the bottom. Compare q with p (circle on the other side) and with g (the tail curls).
