Capital V is two straight slanted lines that meet in a point at the bottom. Start at the top left, slant down to the point, then go back up to the top right without lifting the pencil. Lowercase v is the same shape, only smaller, between the middle line and the writing line. Once V is easy, W is just two V shapes joined together.
