About this coloring page
Psalm 136:1 reads "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good" in the King James Version. This Bible verse coloring page shows the words in bubble letters with the reference underneath, inside a frame with a flower in each corner.
Psalm 136 has a pattern that children love once they notice it: every one of its 26 verses ends with the same line, "for his mercy endureth for ever". It was likely sung as a call and response, with one voice giving a reason for thanks and everyone answering together. You can do the same at home: one person names something to be thankful for and everyone replies with the refrain. That makes this page a natural fit for Thanksgiving, a family devotion, or a Sunday school lesson on gratitude.
